Sunny with a chance of scones

It’s been a sunny and actually quiet warm day today, and even though I’m still busy as a bee with lots of stuff I don’t want to talk about, I thought it would be nice to make some scones again. Ok, let’s do a quick story…

Nowadays, demand for scones is not as high as it was in the past though the number of potential consumers has grown significantly. That being said, a company source could confirm that the Ola Baking Factory produced 2 baking sheets of cream scones today. Quality seems to be as good as always but production volume was limited by the shortage of raw materials, mainly flour and sugar. According to DieOla, managing director, plant operator and actually the only employee of Ola Baking Factory, the freshly stocked inventory levels are not likely to last long and might not even be sufficient to satisfy the need of all customers.  At the time of writing, it was not clear when production at the plant will be continued so the market is expected to move from the current slightly balanced position to be very short indeed. The good news is that the parent company Ola Unlimited Enterprises has recently expanded its business by creating the subsidiary company Ola Pasta Factory and after a first trial run on Sunday, the new plant is understood to be fully operational and expected to continue production at high utilisation rates.
