Me: I’m female by gender, a twin by birth, a German by nationality, half German-half Bulgarian by origin, a chemist by profession, a philosopher in mind, a blogger for fun, a photographer by passion, nowadays in my mid-thirties, Single without any pets, born in the sign of Leo though balanced somewhat by a Libra ascendent, a little bit crazy sometimes, and almost always tired. I’m spending most of my time either at the office in front of two screens dealing with the miracles of the global petrochemical industry or at home sleeping as much as I can. In the time that is left, I enjoy reading, cooking, baking, being lazy without sleeping, watching movies, strolling around the city, discovering the things that surround me with my own eyes or through the lens of a camera and, at the end of the day, write about all this.
This Blog: This is the first blog I’m writing and I created it in early 2011. At that time, I was making a lot of new experiences and had once again so many thoughts and ideas in my head that I simply had to find a place for them, to get them out of my mind, to let them grow and develop and to share them with others. So consider this site as an experiment, a construction site that is probably never going to be finished, a playground for the little Me, a stage for ideas, no matter how silly or crazy they might occur sometimes. Most of the posts and other site contents will be in German but there is also some stuff in English and certainly more to come in the future should I find a way to combine it in a way I like. I name of this site, ‘Ola’s Welt‘, is a combination of the nickname some of my friends used for me since I was in kindergarten and the German word for ‘World’. So, welcome to my world as it is and as I create and change it over time. Hope you’ll enjoy the visit and stop by again.
The Basic Rule: I will try not to whine, to complain or to talk bad about somebody or something. Most likely I will not always be (or trying to be) funny and sometimes I might even be bit boring or sad or earnest but that’s life for you.
How to get in touch: Please feel free to leave a comment anywhere you want in the blog and I’ll try to answer as soon and as much as I can. You can also contact me via daviocious [at] gmail dot com and/or find me on Flickr.
